NOT FREE WIRELESS
Free Wireless that isn’t? I drove across town to go to an “It’s a Grind” off Desert Inn and Durango to meet a friend from work. I set up both my laptops to get some work done and grab a cup of Java and a bagel, when the owner informed me that I needed to make a $4.00 purchase in order to use the internet. I said “OK, I’ll have a small coffee and 2 bagels”, he then informed me that they were “out of bagels”. I decided to pick up my things and leave. I’ve been going to Coffee shops all over the US for the past 6 years using the Free Wireless hookups to work. I usually invite co-workers to join me and we end up spending a lot of money at these coffee shops. In all my experiences with privately owned and Mass Chain coffee shops I have NEVER been asked to make a minimum purchase. Please change your postings of “Free Wireless” to “Wireless access with $4.00 purchase” to prevent situations like this. Until then, I’ll take my business and my fellow co-workers to a “Free Wireless” coffee shop.
