Just north of Valley View Mall west of Preston Road, one of the newest Thai/Asian restaurants in town is gathering quite a following. Inside Eurasia Thai and Asian Cuisine, there's an inviting earth-toned color scheme with predominately organic oranges and greens. Light, burgundy-hued drapes hang from the windows on the south side giving the restaurant a private feel. At the same time, however, it is very family-friendly, offering a solid kid's menu and takeout for parents and kids on-the-go. Some menu items that caught our eye: the stir-fried shrimp and chicken basil, the panang-grilled salmon (a salmon filet drizzled with panang curry sauce) and the "Golden Sea" (jumbo scallop and shrimp stir-fried with pepper garlic sauce on a bed of steamed vegetables). Bring your favorite bottle of merlot or chardonnay along and decide what item from the extensive menu will go best with it.

Casual restaurant with easygoing atmosphere and good, friendly, service. "Brazil" in the name signals the variety of coffees served daily, long before Starbucks developed its presence. The food is varied and all meals are tasty and consistently good (though dishes called "Brazilian" are really Mexican). From a great selection of stuffed omelettes, fluffy crepes, and crunchy quesadillas, to a well rounded choice of creative salads, hardy sandwiches, filling entres, and vegetarian options. Tempting and yummy home made desserts round out the menu. Electrical outlets for computers are somewhat limited with one each on the north (left) and south (right) ends of the room and one all the way at the left end of the counter seats. As I recall, connection speed is pretty good.

This place is classic southern cooking, diner style. The menu is huge, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. This is one of those places where you come in, spend 10 minutes with the menu, order, and love the food... but as you're leaving you realize you should have ordered what the next table over is having because it looks even better.This place is famous for its cinnamon rolls, which are delectable, if only because of the sheer amounts of butter. I definitely recommend at least trying on, which is not too hard because most of the dinner entrees come with one.Among the countless items on the menu, you can order: chicken fried steak, soup, sandwiches, "aigs" (eggs) done every which way, biscuits and gravy (I recommend getting this with the chicken strips), pancakes, fried chicken, fried okra, fried grits, fried anything really, various tex-mex, po-boys, pie, cobbler, milkshakes,smothered "anything" etc. I think you get the idea. Basically, it's all good... if you're not on a diet. Best of all, everyone here is really friendly. I often strike up a conversation with someone the next table over or at least with the waitress.

Geez. Luckily, the Whataburger next door has a free Wi-Fi hotspot (and better food, in my opinion).
