Texpresso

2700 W. Anderson Lane, 78757

Type: Coffeeshop / Cafe Hours: ?

Coffeeshop in the Villiage, near Alamo North. Lots of art on the walls. Good cake selection. For historical maps of Texas and black-and-white photos of chipmunks, this is the place to be. And the baristas know how to rock.

Chairs? Lighting? WIFI? All good.

The chairs are padded and comofrtable and I'm sitting in the media room right now, and there's not a fluorescent bulb in sight. I'm confused about what the other people were saying. This place is nice.

I'm glad I found this!

After reading some of the negative comments here, I was nervous to try Texpresso near the north Alamo Drafthouse. But I'm new to the neighborhood so I finally came by. And I'm so glad I did. Plenty of room (rather than tables squished together like at *bucks), friendly staff, GREAT coffee (I don't drink espresso, etc., so I can't speak to that), PLENTY of wall outlets, extension cords, strong WIFI signal... even outlets for outside if you want to sit out there on a cool evening. Go by this place. You'll be glad. Seriously.

Texpresso rocks!!

A double Texpresso with a slice of pumpkin cheesecake (or a breakfast taco?) makes my drive in from Houston worth the trip! Friendly baristas, Wi-Fi, and a media room with a big screen TV to liven up those meetings. Local artists featured along with fascinating photographs create a relaxed atmosphere. Ask Dave how his teams are doing, and get ready for a lively discussion! You'll leave with a smile and the perfect start to your day. Careful: Texpresso is definitely habit-forming!

Texpresso changed a lot

Texpresso, for the mis-informed, has been smoke free almost a year (well before the smoking ban). They have good coffee, good Texpresso, good service good deserts But I do agree, the fluorescent lighting has to go, some more comfy type chairs, or a few well places sofas would be great. Over the years I have made a lot of friends from this place, and there are minor little things that are annoying but when compared to the seattle driven chain down the block where you loose the charm, the feeling and the warmth Texpresso has. At Texpresso 98% of the time your business is warmly welcomed, there have been a few times the owners have made me want to find a new coffee house to call home.

Coffe House or Pool Hall

I got a headache from the smell and the connection only registered as low. I would not reccommend to anyone.

wi-fi review

Few wall outlets and no usenet access gives this place a negative review for wi-fi. But if you like industrial lighting and classical music, this is the place. At least it's not Starbuck's.

Ode to Texspresso

I've been a regular since '94 and I have seen the negative-post-type come and go - happily!! I have friends who live in all states and countries - they have yet to find a better cup of coffee. If rubbing elbows is your thing, stick to Starbucks, etc. If coffee and covsersation are more important, you won't do better than Tex.

Horrible place

Horrible place and wretched owners. You also come out of there smelling like a tabacco company.

Double Tex to go

Some people go to coffee shops to be sheik. Others go to be hip. I don't recommend either reason. Go get yourself a double tex, on ice or hot, and take it to go....no better cup of coffee has ever been brewed. Tell your 'hip' friends to compare it to their favorite beverage, then laugh as their mouth waters!

awful place

This is probably the most unpleasant coffeeshop in town! If you like flourescent lighting, uncomfortable chairs, and that full-on strip mall feel, you'll be in heaven.

Great espresso! Good connections/outlets. Only downside is that the odor from smoking section tends to bleed over.
