JP's is awesome!!!

JP'S is awesome. Whoever said their coffee isn't as good as Starbucks is a loon. The coffee is great and strong, and they made the best Cafe Au Lait I've ever had. The atmosphere is really good if you are trying to work in the mornings through late afternoons--gets a bit crowded in the evenings. The baristas are super nice people, hipsters without the snobbery, and austin-slacker cool while also quick with the service.

Love this place, it's my new favorite place to get things done!

JP's is my favorite new coffeehouse. It's close to where I live, and the people there are cool and laid back. No attitude yet from anyone. Lots of places for you to sit, and just has a very comfy atmosphere. Two thumbs up!

jps stays open till 2 am every night except fridays and saturdays-- then it's open till ab 12am

It seems that the operating hours are not listed. For those interested it stay's open until 2am from Sun-Thurs and until midnight on Fri & Sat. It's a really cool place. Coffee is great plus you get one free for every 9 you buy. So get the frequent flyer card!

Smoothies

OK. I'm beginning a crack-down right now... A smoothie is fresh fruit -- usually frozen bananas and strawberries -- blended with fruit juice or some sort. A smoothie is not a cup full of ice with 10 cents worth of some potent red sugar-syrup poured in and blended. When I order a smoothie and pay nearly $4 expect to get real fruit. That's what a smoothie is, by definition. JP's makes the other concoction: the god-awful-sweet, extremely expensive, crap. They're not the only place in Austin that does this, but they're the only one I've come across that also has wireless.

One for one

First time in this morning -- best latte I've had since Pike St. Market about five years ago.

JP's - good local deal

wifi is usually pretty solid, teething problems at first i suspect. perhaps some of you should try getting out and walking or riding a bike... though i know the parking is a pain in the arse from the couple of times i've happened to have been in the car. great for us locals that can walk and thank god it isn't another fucking starbucks... try their americano or a double espresso over ice on a hot day.

im here now and the internet is great plus the chicks are hot

the coffee

place is cool, but parking sucks and coffee doesnt compare to starbucks...

Great if you walk/bike in, I suppose, but don't try parking there

I haven't actually been in this place yet as on at least three separate occasions I couldn't find parking anyplace nearby, so I punted and went to Flight Path. It's frustrating enough that their lot is small, but they blocked one of the driveways with a bike rack, making it quite difficult to exit when one discovers there isn't a space available.

Wireless Speed

As far as the speed goes... Yeah, may have been isolated. I've only tried a couple of times. Usually I just stop there on the way home from meetings to read or chill out with an Austin Chronicle...

Not Weak all the time

I've had really good speeds with the wireless at JPs. 140KB/sec - better than my cable modem at home. your weak signal case could have been an isolated incident?

Weak Wireless

As far as I can tell, the wireless at JP's is really weak. Don't know what the problem is exactly, but some pages take forever to load...

JP's is really cool!

I've stopped by JP's for a moment of relaxation on my way home from campus the past few days. It's really cool! Built out of a converted garage. Hopefully it's not a chain or something...
