Located in the heart of Historic Roswell, GA (between the Roswell Mill and Chattahoochee River) Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee House promotes Justice and Reconciliation in Rwanda. Why Rwanda? In 1994, Rwanda was subject to a major genocide – an estimated 1,000,000 people were massacred within 100 days. So, by roasting and serving Rwandan coffee, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee House can provide “fairly traded” and organic coffee to their consumers while healing and transforming Rwanda. How? For every product sold at the coffee house, roughly 30% of the profit goes straight back to Rwanda. Two-thirds of that goes to the growers, which is higher than fair trade, hence the “fairly traded”. The other 10% goes towards micro-finance loans to help genocide widows become entrepreneurs in their own communities. Every customer that walks through the door can now Drink Coffee. Do Good.
